Cynthia Amante is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She is Georgia Board Certified and PREPARE/ENRICH Certified.

Cynthia knows the importance of feeling seen, heard and knowing that we matter in our relationships. She also knows an absence of these ingredients are the basis of where most relationship struggles begin.

Cynthia has worked with individuals, couples, and families for the last 12 years. She has been asked by family and friends, “do you ever take your “therapy hat” off?” She will likely tell you a resounding “no.”

Therapy ruins through her veins in a sense. She has always been interested in how people navigate their relationships in the best of times and the worst of times. She knows first hand how painful, frustrating, and confusing it can be to try to figure out how things got to the point a person finds themselves at and uncertain what to do next. She has the tenacity and resilience to help those that find themselves stuck and that just want to feel better.

Cynthia has a compassionate, yet direct approach that her clients appreciate. Cynthia provides a safe space for her clients, which is necessary for her clients to be able to bring forward their concerns with confidence and transparency. She not only incorporates her educational training and ongoing research she has completed into therapy, but also real-life examples/ideas that she has experienced personally that have proven to be helpful to her clients.

Cynthia has special interest in working with individuals and couples challenged by communication difficulties, resentment in relationships, and feelings of betrayal. Cynthia also works on:

  • Relationship revitalization

  • Healing from betrayal of ourselves and/or others

  • Self worth/Self-Esteem Concerns

  • Effects of childhood and/or adulthood trauma has on individuals and adult relationships

  • Loss and it’s effects on individuals and relationships

Misty and Cynthia work very closely together to ensure great coordination of care for clients and couples and often follow a very similar approach.

Beyond therapy, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her partner, her 2 adult children, and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, reading, college football, and long lazy days to recharge.
